Sheriff: One-armed man breaks into Gilbert, SC home


GILBERT, SC (WIS) – Lexington County deputies are looking for a one-armed, 38-year-old man wanted for breaking into a home near Gilbert.

Deputies say the break-in happened on Saturday on Highway 378, and the homeowner was home at the time of the break-in.

Sheriff James Metts says Darryl Jerome Hill does not have a permanent address, and is wanted for first-degree burglary, possessing a stolen motor vehicle and failing to stop for a blue light.

Metts said Hill is 6’3″ and weighs 265 pounds. Hill has black hair and brown eyes, does not have a left arm, and the left side of Hill’s face is disfigured by scars.
